Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician

 

Position: Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician

Job Description: Functions as the ALSE Technician under the direction of the Standardization and Training Instructor Pilot.  Performs technical inspections, tests, maintains, requisitions, issues, and repairs of aviation life support equipment and survival equipment, including flotation equipment, over water gear, anti-exposure suites, first aid kits, survival vests and kits, radios, aircrew body armor, restraint harnesses, flight helmets, chemical and biological protective masks, oxygen masks, and other related ALSE equipment.  Train Customer and contractor personnel in the use of all applicable technical publications, tools, test equipment, and special equipment applicable to this discipline, thereby enabling them to become effective Aviation Life Support Equipment Specialists.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Five years prior experience serving as an Aviation Life Support Equipment Specialist.
  2.  Successfully completed, and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces Aviation Life Support Equipment maintenance course or civilian equivalent training. Contractor factory training or other equivalent training by industry shall be reviewed and approved by the PCO and/or the GFR as substitute.

Desired Qualifications: 

  1. Prior experience working on Army Rotary Wing Aviation unique Aviation Life Support Equipment.

2.    Prior experience working with Desert and over-water ALSE gear.

  1. Education level.  High school diploma required.  Military: Graduate of a U.S. Government armed forces Aviation Life Support Equipment Course required.  Successful completion of the Aviation Crew Chief Maintenance Course preferred.

Training Management Officer (TMO)

 

Job Description: The TMO manages training programs conducted by the assigned instructor cadre personnel.  The TMO will use a Learning Management System (LMS) to schedule classes, track individual progress, provide status reports, and recommend changes to improve performance of all training programs.  Manage a small staff of certified training management specialists.  The TMO is responsible for initiating, updating, and maintaining formal and informal training records for all live, virtual and hands-on training to include OJT courses.  The TMO will develop and maintain a TMO SOP and provide recommended updates to improve training performance for all training courses.  The TMO will coordinate the certification of training courses by the end customer with USG support. 

Utilize the LMS to support all qualification and sustainment training activities to include recording all training requirements, events, and proficiency results in support of the training program.  Use the LMS to assist trainers and training course managers in meeting their training requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education level. Bachelor’s degree in business or aviation discipline from accredited institution.
  2. Experience. 8 years minimum in training management in Army organizations.
  3. Be able to use a Learning Management System (LMS), e.g. The Army Learning Management System (ALMS), Designer, e-Learning, or equivalent.
  4. Be able to use the Microsoft Office Suite to prepare various reports, charts, and other related documents
  5. Perform all supply related functions in support of aviation assets to include managing a staff to perform the following  receipt, issue replenishment, accountability, storage operations, track demand history and stockage-level computations to avoid out-of-stock or excess conditions. Vehicle-GSE Maintenance Repairman

 

Job Description: Conducts assessment and repair of light duty trucks (gas and diesel), tractors, general grounds equipment, generators and aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE). 

Responsibilities: Responsible for the assessment and repair of Customer Aviation assigned vehicles and Aviation Ground Support Equipment. Responsible to work safely and maintain all equipment in a safe manner.  Responsible for maintaining vehicles and ground support equipment in a high state of repair and operability.  Responsible for servicing vehicles and assigned Ground Support Equipment.

Independence: Reports to the NGAA Vehicle & Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Manager. Works within the rules and policies of NGAA operational guidelines and safety procedures.

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Minimum Qualifications.

  1. Education level:  Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a KSA, Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) sponsored training and employment program in mechanics school desired. 
  2. Experience: Experienced auto/diesel mechanic required.  Experience in electrical and hydraulic systems required.  Five (5) years experience required
  3. Specific knowledge, skill, ability, and requirements:
    • Must have the ability to work different shifts.
    • Ability to work unsupervised.
    • Ability to use required tools and special equipment to accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Ability to work high-tech electro-mechanical aircraft support equipment.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
    • Ability to climb and work on maintenance platforms as required.
